My team has recently started to use Slack huddles in place of several Zoom meetings, I would love to be able to use the same app to control the mute, video, and screen share status!

Unfortunately, I've exhausted all options to add Slack as a native, two-way integration. 😞

There's no way to monitor their Slack interface, nor do they have an API or other programmatic way to control it. There's not even shortcuts to fully control a huddle. I added the only 2 (!!) shortcuts that are there to the custom action library (see attached screenshot).

I'll put this request back into a holding pattern, and revaluate periodically to see if Slack has improved the huddles. It'll help if anyone that's willing submits a request to Slack for huddle control ( https://slack.com/help/requests/new ) . Maybe even mention that Discord is lightyears ahead of them. 😉

Martijn Smit: Hi Martijn, I just want to say that I fully empathise -- Slack is very gatekeepy across the board with allowing access to anything external. (Which I learned the hard way when I needed to export a thread's message backlog for feedback processing and I ended up having to copy-paste 300+ pages.) So yeah, not very accessible. Thanks for trying!

Owain Williams: Hi Owain, that's what I meant with having added those to the custom action library, because running those is possible using a custom action. So you can start, join, leave, or end a huddle and control mute.

There's just no way for MuteDeck to read the status, so it won't work in the general integration sense and MuteDeck can't show the mute status.

I'm very happy to report that MuteDeck v4.6 has preview support for Slack Huddles! 🥳
